Question Oil Cooler Leak (not cooler line!)

So I noticed some oil spots beneath the wife's 2007 RX350 and was trying to figure out what the issue was. Did a bit of googling and found a trove of "Oil cooler line" leak resources. It was in the evening and and I figured "that's it" and would get started on it in the morning. When I did get under the car I saw the line had already been replaced so the easy diag/fix went out the window. I cleaned up the engine as well as I could and added some oil to find where the leak was coming from. It looks like it's from above the line at the oil cooler itself? pics below but I stopped at that point and tried to find some resources online and have not been successful. Looking for some opinions and guidance.

Does this mean the oil cooler is bad (or just the gasket)?
Is this a do it yourself job? Basic bolt and replace? no other components needed to be removed (like radiator)?
Take to mechanic?
I see the part online is in the $800 range, pricey.
Anybody else go through this?

Th

anks in advance for any info.

The oil cooler has its own o-ring. You're not gonna like the steps to replace it:

As above there is an O-ring that goes between the two pieces of the cooler

Thanks, yes, you're right. I don't like it. Such a pain. Think I'll have to drive it to a shop and eat a few grand. Thanks for the replies. I did remove the exhaust guard to get a better look and see I really can't reach anything. I used a camera scope to try to get a better look. I can't tell where the hoses are or if they are connected but I did gat a shot of this. Not sure if this is a pipe from the oil cooler or something else unrelated, its right near it. Don't see any hoses that are free, is this something unrelated? Tried to run the engine for a bit but no oil leaked from this spot. What a pain, I hate how they put cars together nowadays.

There is a product on the market called ATP-205 Reseal,it rejuvenates rubber seals, it's just another option because it will be a costly repair if you take it to a auto repair shop
If you decide to use the ATP-205 Reseal, be sure to change the Oil first

Thanks, I went to Amazon to buy this and give it a shot but started reading the reviews. Kind of a mixed bag with some horror stories. Going to drive to local mechanics this week and see if they can tackle the job and what he would charge/recommend.
I'm assuming the dealer would just bend me over.

What is involved for deleting the oil cooler?
My RX never had the oil cooler. But if it did, I would've deleted it. I do not tow with my RX and I see no benefit to having an oil cooler with my type of normal driving.

Quite a lot I think, since the oil pressure switch is in a different spot, the upper oil pans are different, so looking at some big pieces and a lot of time.
