Default Stereo Recommendation 2009 RX350

Does anyone have any stereo recommendation? I have 2009 Lexus RX350, no ML, no DVD entertainment, but with Navigation System.
I would like to upgrade to one that I can do Apple CarPlay. I don't need any fancy function (of course wireless CarPlay would be an upgrade option).
I don't need CD/DVD. Just need another headunit that can use bluetooth for phone, music, and iPhone for maps.

Any suggestions with brand and model?

I'm a big fan of Pioneer headunits and any of their NEX models should be carplay and android auto compatible. The cheapest model without a disc reader I found is the DMH-1770NEX. The issue is with this chip shortage phenomenon, units are constantly going in and out of stock, grab one while you can.

I can't find Pioneer in the reasonable price range. I do find Boss unit available. However, someone told me that Boss are kind of like low end spectrum of the car stereo.

Boss, Jensen, Power Acoustik, Dual, and SSL should be avoided like the plague. Typically cheaper than Pioneer but still of quality will be JVC/Kenwood (basically the same).

Post up pics when you get it done and show it off if you like!
I went with a new Kenwood touchscreen double DIN and it's ok but I want a new amp as I feel like the job is only half way done without one.

will do. I am thinking of ordering next week. Without been as handy as I want, it will likely take me longer than normal.

I saw that during the research and I bypassed it for certain reason I can’t remember. I will check that again. Thanks.

I bought a Dual DMCPA70 for my 2008 RX350 but I wish I had read your recommendation first. There is one wire from the radio receiver that needs to connect to the parking brake. I have no idea where it is and what to do. I heard you guys are discussing about a bypass. Is it safe to do that and do you have instructions on how to do it? I will keep searching this forum. If anyone happen to see this, I really appreciate your help. My car doesn't have NAV or premium amplifier.

Parking brake can be tapped at the E-brake pedal itself there is one wire going to the assembly, but this is basically useless as majority people never use their E-brake on an RX. Bypasses are strictly off-road use only, use at your own risk, but for pioneer you just hook the parking brake wire to it, ground, and 12v switched power; the bypass does all the work for you.

Anyone have any issues with the AC after new radio install? Seen a video of a nonnav car that after you replace the radio you need to put in a resister, because if not the AC will not work.
