v-belt quality - OEM vs. Bando
when preparing for v-belt replacement, I found that Lexus OEM v-belt is Bando 7PK2090 according to the print on OEM belt I received.
Before tax, Amazon prices,
Lexus OEM belt - 90916-A2010 Bando 7PK2090 $54.77
Bando 7PK2090 $9.94
My questions is that the quality of two Bando belts would be the same or different where Lexus Bando 7PK2020 would be much better??

Lexus Champion
Bando belts are great, made in the USA. As for them being identical to Bando from a dealer can't say for sure.

I have two Bando belts on my Highlander, the power steering belt and accessory belt. PS one was made in Japan and serpentine USA. Quality was equal if not better than the OEM Mitsuboshi it replaced, they’re holding up great years later like the OEMs. No squeaks.
I’d go for aftermarket

No issues w/ Bando belts on my Hondas, but I think it's really car specific. I purchased a Gates belt off rockauto for my TSX and it constantly was off by one rib. I had to return it and ordered an OEM one for alot more than i normally would have paid, but I really annoyed at that point! I try to stay OEM as much as possible. especially if you're DIYing it, you can justify the extra cost of OEM.
