Default Battery loss

Hello I have a 2009 rx350
So when I'm driving my entertainment system turns off and on and but my engine is still on. I dont know what's hhappening this would happen atleast 2 to 3 times while I'm driving. Is it the battery because I see corrosion on the tterminal.

I doubt that it is the battery because when you have the engine running, the alternator is the main source of electrical power (current). If the corrosion on the terminals were the cause, I would expect that other things would be having problems. If this is an aftermarket entertainment system, I would check all the connections to it and especially the chassis grounds. If this only happens at idle, you could have an entertainment system that draws more amperage than the alternator can provide as alternators don't have full output at idle, in which case you would need a bigger battery or a more powerful alternator - or both.

But definitely clean your battery terminals anyway as too much corrosion could keep the car from starting if it gets bad enough..

Thanks for the respond. So to put things in to more details when I'm driving the power would randomly turnoff and turn on so the map would turn off the radio would turn off and also the speedometer and rmp needle would jump up and down and also the warning lights would come on and disappear. This would all happen but the engine is still on. I also checked with my obd2 if there was any problem and no problem detected.

And all my entertainment system is all original I don't have any aftermarket stuff installed

I can't tell you exactly what's wrong, but when I've had these sorts of issues with other cars it was usually caused by wire corrosion (from water) or a short (exposed/cut wire).

Have you had any water leaks around the windshield?
Do you have mice chewing on your wires?
That's where I'd start.

Hi Dmct,
The body electric on our cars is very complicated so leaving out details doesn't help you.
Like mentioned above you could have a bad connector somewhere or bad frame ground and can also be a failing Body Ecu, etc, etc.

Your posts confuse me and I'm trying to understand in a logical manner with context.

Is this what you are saying?
1) I am driving the car under normal conditions.
2) Sometimes the factory Navigation Display & radio goes dead at exactly at the same time the speedometer quits working & warning lights in dash.
3) All other gauges in the dash are not affected.
4) I am monitoring my battery voltage when this happens or should be(see pic below).

Some unknowns:
1) This happens when the outside temp and raining conditions is?
2) This happens randomly or when car first starts up or other?
3) My battery condition is?
4) Is there moisture in the car, especially under the dash or near the A pillar on driver side?
5) Does everything turn off properly when key is off and removed from ignition?

Just some ideas and unanswered questions to consider.

Without monitoring we are just talking in the wind with no clear path to go forward.
