Recently when my 2008 Lexus RX350 went in for a change of all fluids, the report that came back said that my brakes were okay and that I still had 5 mm on the front rotors and 6 mm on the rear. I had asked for the measurement since I was replacing the brake fluid and didn't want to do it twice if I needed a brake job. I forgot to ask what % of the rotors are remaining. Does anyone know what the thickness of new rotors should be? Thanks, Bob.

Minimum thickness is used when resurfacing if you're below the minimum you have way bigger problems.

I'd add, best to flush your brake fluid when you do your brakes......
