I wonder if it has something to do with the premium package or something with the two struts. My 2008 Japan model has only one, maybe the Canadian models have two? The one strut is pretty dinky and doesn't do the best job of opening the hood. I noticed that my car's sheet metal doesn't even have a hole to bolt in a 2nd bracket to add another hood strut, and neither does the hood. If you can take pictures of that and prove it, that would make an even better legal argument against them.

I heard small claims court so I assumed you were going down the route if you had to. However, if they put in two crappy headlights and a hood that doesn’t match, do they really deserve your business after this?

Our '07 has only one on the passenger side & really thats all it needs vs the weight of the rear hatch w/ the window & all that weight vs the light weight of the hood. I'd say it just needs a new hood strut vs using the old one.

i think i have come to realize that it probably did only have one from the start. but im gonna examine the original hood today when i head over back to the body shop shortly
