Default RX400h Blown right front tire severed wiring harness ABS VSC AWD

On our way back from Vegas, our RX400h suffered a violent right front tire blow-out, might have hit a piece of debris on the freeway. We were able to maintain control of the car and pull over to install the spare tire. However, the dash board showed warning for VSC AWD and ABS. The car was driveable, and we made it back to the San Francisco bay area safely.

The blown-out rip apart the wheel well lining, and severed some wiring. I could not figure out where is the wire bundle connected to? and I suspect that perhaps the wires actually belong inside the plastic protective conduit that was cut by the disintegrating tire. The six wires might have been ripped out from inside the conduit.

What does the collective wisdom of the group think?

I found on-line a 2006 RX400h in the Newark (California) Pick-n-pull dated 3/6/2022, however, when I showed up at the junk yard yesterday, the 2006 RX400h is no longer there. I was hoping to be able to pull off the wheel-well lining, and take some pictures of the wiring in that area. I also searched for Toyota Highlander Hybrid, but there is no such car (or RX400h) in the Pick-n-pull database in the entire country.

Hi friend, I don't see any other way thean to dig in there and start getting stuff out of the way and see where those wires go.

I wouldn't drive it like that and at the least I would tape up any wires with bare leads so they don't spark to the frame and start frying ECUs or other components or worse a wire harness fire and total vehicle loss.

Ditto^^^^^ I'd say right off the top the way that tire blew apart, your abs wiring is shedded hence the abs/vsc lights.....I'll also add, I highly doult that the abs harness is any different then the 330 or even the 350 2nd gen.......

To add to the list of parts of compatible ABS sensors, a 2001-2003 and 2004-2007 Highlander also uses the same system and connectors. I was able to use one of my RX350's ABS sensors to trouble-shoot a dead one in my car, and I had perfectly functioning ABS and part fitment despite the part no. being different. Live data tests with my scan tool and a resistance test with my multi-meter also checked out as well.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions and comments.

I did a bit more crawling under the car, and it looks like the wires might connect to the windshield washer pumps.

Windshield washer fluid reservoir with pumps and level sensor

Before I order the reservoir, does it look like the picture on my original post?

Still have to figure out the actual wiring connections, since the blow out ripped out the wire connectors from the harness.

Once this is taken care of, I will have to figure out whether I could reset the ABS AWD and VSC. I am hypothesizing that the warnings got displayed as soon as the blow out occurred. Further inspection find no other cut wires or fluid hoses, so I am crossing my fingers that the ABS AWD and VSC systems are intact. I have two generic OBDII readers, need to do more research to see if it might not be a good idea to use them to reset the faults.

Edited to add that the second picture on original post barely showed that the windshield washer pumps appeared to be sheared off smack in the middle of the connector to the washer reservoir. The water lines from the two pumps are also sheared about 6 inches from the remaining portions of the pumps that are still attached to the reservoir.

Close up picture of the bottom of the washer reservoir and the broken off remainder of the pumps.
