Hello,
I have a 2008 RX350 and I have noticed 2 strange issues lately.
1) The nav screen is dim when first starting the car and goes to normal brightness after about a minute.
2) The key fob takes around 5 seconds to unlock the doors after pressing the unlock button.
If I turn off the car and restart 5 or 10 minutes later this will not happen. Both of these issues happen only when the car has been turned off for more than 30 minutes.
My battery is only 1 year old so I don't think it has anything to do with the battery. I suspect that somewhere in the electronic boards , maybe in the ECM there is are bad capacitors.
I am thinking of removing the ECM and checking for bad leaking or high esr capacitors.
Let me know what you all think. Also where is the ECM located on this car?
Thanks
Pete
