Default Sound Deadening wheel well?

Has anyone sound deadened their wheel wells successfully or unsuccessfully, with a spray product? I do not want to remove the lining.

Never heard anyone doing it for a rx...Some tires are noiser then others......Sounds like a possible tire noise issue.

On my Highlander, I removed the two plastic side/interior/trim pieces in the trunk area and just loaded the bare metal up with Noico 80mil butyl sound deadening, then put some OEM-style denim sound deadening pads behind the plastic trim panels (incl. the strut tower panels) and put it back together. It made a HUGE difference, I've yet to do it on my RX but I think that is probably the easiest and least messiest way to quiet your ride down. Do the doors too if you can, as well as the trunk/hatch. Although the doors and wheel well made the best difference - anywhere with a big holllow piece of metal that can transmit NVH will see results. After I was finished with the Highlander, it rode noticeably quieter than my RX350.

I am aware that ties do make a difference, but I want to go beyond that. Sound like you had good results. Was it difficult to take off the plastic trim? I am new to this so I am not sure if you used a spray or patch. I have the tools and the expertise to remove parts but working out of my carport does present a certain amount of challenges.
Thanks
I have a thread about working on the door strips

I saw your post about the door strips, nice fix! This shouldn't be any challenge at all compared to that fix. I would say doing it wasn't difficult, but you do need to exercise a bit of caution as the plastic can be a little brittle, and some screws hold the panels in too. I didn't use any spray, but I guess you could describe the butyl rubber as a "patch". It's like double-sided tape with a cover you tear off, then you roll it on with a paint roller after cleaning the surface with alcohol.

I watched a video on that product. I won't be ready to work on the wheel wells for a while. Just curious as to who may have tried it. Thanks for the encouragement. Thanks for looking at my post.
