@Mesquite77 Are you getting the block machined? I’m liking that older bicycle. That a Raleigh?

Had a valve job done on both heads, since an exhaust spring broke and dropped a valve. One lousy broken valve spring at only 91K miles, sheesh. Bike is actually fairly new, my son's, not home anymore, mine is a Kestrel tri bike.

I call it the intake manifold too all the time even tho technically it's a plenum.
Should be called upper intake and lower intake IMO.

Maximum cringe effect.
What was your first thoughts when you open up and saw this?
Did you invent all new curse words?

Mostly relieve, since all the parts were still there, and had not circulated metal pieces and destroyed the rest of the block/bearings.

I'm guessing OP is probably woried about worse case scenarios like I was.
Disappearing coolant is never good and my mind goes to "what if's" like a head gasket or something since not able to easily detect leak.

My valley plate(RX330) was prob leaking for years and very slow coolant loss and passed numerous pressure tests until it was ready to blow the seal.
I finally figured out where leak was comming from by using a flashlight up in there at all angles looking for evidence for red coolant crust and when I saw it I went ahead and got my Toyota FPG and gaskets ready to go.

Then with engine warm/hot I ran a pressure test one day and that valley plate seal completely gave out and rained coolant on the driveway like a waterfall. haha
