2006RX330 - within the last week when I turn off the ignition and pull out my key the steering wheel does not retract. This causes the car to think the key is still in and will bing when I open the door, and will not let me lock the car. After several tries of restart and remove key, it will retract. My husbands key will do the same although not regularly, but when his does he can touch the tip of the key into the ignition and the steering will retract. This is my car so my key is much more worn. Do I need a new key or is there something more serious going on?

If your key is worn, I'd get a couple new keys cut. As for the steering column retracting everytime, lot of unneeded monkey motion. I'd just retract the column out & down & remove the fuse. My wife & I fit, no problem.
