Another Door lock issue - LOCK but no UNLOCK
Folks, I have a 2007 RX350, 133K. I have been through several forums and watched all sorts of videos, but wanted some more advice from this group.
1) With the exception of the drivers door, all doors will lock on command...automatically at speed, with the key fob and using the buttons on the driver and passenger controls, etc....they always lock when they are suppose to
2) With the exception of the drivers door, The unlocking of the remaining three doors is inconsistent...maybe 20% of the time they will unlock...but all three behave exactly the same
3) When any one of the three remaining doors unlocks, the others will unlock as well...
4) All four doors lock using any of the methods to lock
So, I don't believe this is the actuator. Since the door actuators are individual per door and the fact that all three doors behave exactly the same, leads me to believe this is a computer issue.
I think there is a loose connection somewhere or...some websites point to the BODY CONTROL COMPUTER behind the glovebox in this car, but before I go forward let me tell you what else ive done
My troubleshooting includes:
1) Full reset of systems (and full reprogramming of the doors and windows/sunroof) (twice)
2) Programming of doors to lock all 4 doors at once (vs twice drivers + passengers)
3) Removing all door switches and cleaning of the connectors with contact cleaner
Has anyone else from this forum experienced this...is there a door lock computer I should look at and replace?
Should I bite the bullet and just replace all three actuators...is there a chance the actuators are connected and I am just being dense?
Dont want to replace all of the actuators unless I know it is the issue, as that is a bit more time consuming.
Would love to hear the feedback from the forum on what they would do next.
Thanks,
Vinay
