Weird engine sound

Could it be related to the vibration I'm getting in the steering wheel?

Thanks!
Timing belt noise. This is well documented in the ES forum it's caused by left over belt material fused to the cam gears if you hate it enough replace the gears noise will go away. Noise has zero effect on reliability.

So I went to the mechanic and he told me it could be the surpentine belt and pully on the outside... But he did he would need to take it apart to be sure. Does this sound like something that could be causing the sounds in my car.. And maybe the vibrations?

I have the exact same noise from the same area in my 01 es300. Apparently it's common. Mine goes away after the engine warms up.
