Actually I think im gonna return the Autozone cap and head to a Lexus dealer to grab one. Hopefully that will solve it.

Do you have any other Lexus/Toyota cars? The 40mm cap is compatible between all models. Tacoma/Highlander/Sienna/RX, etc. Would be a good trouble-shooting option

am going back to my local Indy shop less than a mile from here to have them smoke it to find out where the leak is on Saturday. Thing that sucks is I’m gonna have to pay to rent a car twice! Once while they check it out as i cannot be w out a car: and then again once they order and get the parts. I swear!!! If it’s not one damn thing it’s another!! The perils of having an older vehicle!!!

It’s worth it at the end. I got frustrated with my Highlander when a bunch of stuff failed within each other like steering rack, fuel filler neck, exhaust & many more I’m forgetting. It was a pain to fix but I have a reliable car I enjoy without spending too much. It also makes it more worth it because I’ll keep that car forever.
It’s a pain but in the end it’s better than car payments. Plus, I still feel this is the best RX350 model ever made and I even went out of my way to get an 07-09 model. I would probably just drive with the evap code and just clear it before inspection.
My Highlander had a P0442 for a long time until I fixed the fuel leak by replacing the filler neck. My 08 has a P0441 and it is likely coming from the charcoal canister area. If I can’t get rid of it, I’ll deal with it, but emissions testing is not a thing in Canada anymore.
