Hi everyone! Long time lurker but now I'm hoping to get some help from you all.

Today the RX DRLs started to act weird. All the wiring looks good, nothing seems loose from what I can tell but when the headlights are on, The driver side DRL turns off. When the headlights are off, the driver and passenger side DRL seems to work just fine. Ontop of that the high beams also work. For some reason when the regular headlights are on or set to auto, the driver side DRL turns off. The passenger side, works just fine in all scenarios.

I read the DRLs are just the high beams at a lower voltage so I thought the high beams bulb was out but it works when the high beams are on. Anyone have any idea why this is the case? Are the high beams a double filament bulb? Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I've attached some photos for context.

DRL should not work with a low beam.
DRL is 50% of high beam, i.e. DRL is a 12v high beam bulb that was powered with only 6v

PS: On photo 3 the parking light bulb works, but on photo 2 doesn't.

My 2007 RX350 has HID Headlight Bulbs, when I would turn them on the daylight running lights would go off( like they are supposed to) but One of the HID headlights would go out after a minute or 2, so I just replaced the Bad one,2 months later the second side did the same thing
The first HID Headlight Bulb I replaced I basically removed the front end so I could get to it, took a good hour,but after watching a few YouTube videos I realized I could use a hand mirror and there's just enough room to replace the bulb 💡,in about 5-10 minutes
