Front Motor Mount replacement
Has anyone actually done a front motor mount replacement on a second gen RX? If so, how did you fish the motor mount up out of the engine bay? Did you have to remove the radiator as one person suggested (but for the first gen)? Or could you fish it out the bottom? If out the top, did you have to remove the power steering cooler lines that are right above the mount? Did you have to remove the upper radiator hose? Oil filter? Fans?
I have a harshness at idle that gets worse when the A/C kicks on. It's not an ignition miss as it isn't that rough, so I'm pretty sure that 288,000 miles of Michigan roads have done in the motor mounts. Worth a try anyways as long as I don't have to remove the engine to get the front motor mount out!
The car is an '06 AWD if that makes a difference to the front mount. I know it does for the rear and side mounts buts that's for a different day when I can get on a lift.
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Hi friend.
Have a look at post #88 in IMSQ's link above.
Part# in drawing should be 12361A, notice there is an engine bracket with 2 bolts and 1 nut that attaches to the front mount.
The easy way I did it was support the engine and remove the bracket from the engine shown in drawing, then pull the mount.
Might require swivel socket and/or extended reach wrench to get the 2 bracket bolts loose from engine, I can't remember.
It was the only way I could get the mount out.
PS- I removed nothing else from the engine, pulled it out precision stealth like a ninja! lol

Replaced Engine Torque Strut Mount
Thanks for all the help! I replaced Engine Torque Strut mount on my 2010 Lexus ES 350 2010. Original mount lasted 163k miles!!’
ordered orm part # 12363-0P141 from myllarts.com.
1- Vertical bolt was easy to take out.
2- Horizontal bolt was difficult due to brake lines. I had to remove the brake lines housing by taking small bolt on right out. Even then I have to push one brake line to take the horizontal bolt out.
3- Dont forget to put rubber seals on both sides back
Total time 35 minutes- most of it was for taking & putting back horizontal bolt.
Old & New part- both oem parts
New part installes
Bolt interfered with brake line.

Enjoyed the pics.
I'm guessing you have the 2GR motor?
My 2004 has the 3MZFE and for some reason I can't exactly remember 100% but I believe there was all kinds of room and not so tight like you experienced.
