Default Fix this nasty leather (pic included)

I've seen this in practically all RX350s, this is driver side door handle leather. It seem right from factory, there is a cheap thinner version of leather like material that is softer, and less padded and more fragile then the rest of the leather anywhere in the vehicle. Its paper thin and about to break. I'm wondering if anyone has removed and or replaced this material. This is touched daily as I close and open my driver's side door. Its about to break and looks like crap, and can't be cleaned. Amazing, when all my other leather looks good, even the passenger side door. Any fixes, or suggestions? Even a part number, and NO---I'm not looking to replace the whole door panel for this.

Your choices are replace the panel , get an expert to replace that section, or paint/dye the area. I would choose the 3rd option then ceramic coat it to prevent the same thing from happening.

Mr Clean magic eraser. Gently rub with warm soapy water. Or an all purpose cleaner diluted 50:50.

If I recall that part is plastic welded to the door panel from underneath, so it's do able, just need to find a replacement... or remove it, take it to an upholsterer and melt it back into the door panel after.
