Afs = hid?
My 2007 RX350 owner's manual isn't clear on this. If I have AFS (I do) do I have HID bulbs? I just bought the car and the headlights are very dim. I have a 2000 GS with HID and notice they got very dim after 10-years too. Thanks for any advice

Most RXs have HIDs but my base model came with the awful halogens. If you have AFS, you have a higher end model and HID headlights. Most cars have non-AFS projectors, some base models have halogens, and higher trim models get AFS projectors.
Bulb type is a D2S.

There is also another available option called "auto leveling" headlights.
I have these but not anymore since I replaced my old headlights with new aftermarket without the option.
I gave up the feature but I don't need it and car looks good.

It's not the end of the world if you don't have it. I retro'd HID headlight assemblies to my car and there's no way I'm going to try and figure out how to get the system to operate on my car. Incl installing the appropriate rear control arms, linkages, etc. I'm sure everyone who has retrofitted HID projectors to their car can say the same. The system in my '14 is so slow to react, that it really only compensates for when you have a heavy load in the back. Over bumps, it does not adjust fast enough.

Nice screenshot IMSQ.
I'm guessing you're running an RX400h.
On my RX330 I have no info display like yours and thankfully no warnings with the "auto leveling" unhooked.
PS- if anyone wants to know, the "auto leveling" ecm module is located on the driver side and you can see it if you lay on the floor with the gas pedal in your ear and look up behind the dash with a flashlight.
>> Then take a few asprins for the back pain from twisting your back from looking up in there. haha
