Default Which oil do you use in winter?

Hey everyone, was curious to know what oil brand/blends do you use in the cold winter months? I currently have Mobil 1 high milage synthetic blend for my now, 231 000km rx350. This is the first time i'll be using it in winter time. So far it's ok, engine a bit noise on cold morning start, but find it quiets down after a decent 5 minutes of driving. What do you use and find, helps quite engine down quickly in winter? Thanks fab

You are good with Mobil 1. As long as you are using 5W30 weight you are good.

Any true synthetic oil is good enough for most climates. If you regularly see temps below 0F then you'll see a major benefit using Amsoil.

What's interesting, is that i was looking at the owners manual of my 2009 rx... nowhere does it say synthetic oil. I wouldn't be surprised if they us conventional oil back then?
should i still stick to synthetic, especially in winter?

My dealership uses conventional oil - never gave me the option to use synthetic

I started using Mobil 1 high milage 5/30 after using the liquid molly engine oil flush...the M1 keeps the internal engine clean, recons the seals, cold starts no noise..change every 5,000 miles

Hey gang, well i did an oil/filter change. I went with Valvoline synthetic blend oil. Went for a small test drive, engine seems a bit smoother, quiter.

I am in Canada and have been using OEM weight synthetic oil. Today it is -33c. I did not plug it in the other day but did so last night. Better start up. Will likely stick with OEM and synthetic.
