Key fob issue

Key fob issue
I bought Rx450h 2010 model few weeks ago and the keyfob all of a sudden started malfunctioning. Sometimes it opens the doors and sometimes it doesn’t. Any time it doesn’t open the doors AFS light and ABS light will be on. I have changed the battery 4 times but I didn’t fix the problem. I took the fob to auto smith technician, he run some diagnosing on the fob and said the fob is working properly that I should take the car to dealership which i did and few days later it started again. Have anyone experienced this issue before?

When ever you have 2 of an item, one should test with the other. Place the suspect key-Fob far away and see if the second key-Fob makes the problem go away.
Other than critters, I would be concerned about 'clean prior history'. unexplained random problems are hard to trace. Can you return the vehicle or have the seller fix the problem

I bought the car for auction. This is what the dealership is suggesting.

2nd FOB: You need to be sure you want to keep the vehicle as it is a financial decision. Personally I say 2nd key is a MUST. Have it programmed as a Master.
12V battery: I assume the loose terminal was the 12v battery. That has been addressed. Being an auction vehicle, it might have sat and drained the battery low. Charge it overnight and have it tested under load [any auto store can do it for you for free].
See if the problem goes away as suggested by the dealer. If problem persists .. then let's revisit armed with new evidence.

PS: Was the vehicle ever exposed to rising or excessive falling water? First gen had the fuse panel near the left knee of the driver.

Keyfob
My Rx450h 2102 keyfob doesn’t work sometimes. I took the car to Lexus dealership and the said the error code on the dashboard is as result of low power and the remove the terminals and clean up the battery and replace the terminals and calibrate the car everything started working properly. But the recommended that I should get another keyfob is problem reoccurs again. After two days the problem started all over again. I went and purchased another aftermarket keyboard and contacted locksmith technician around me. He came but his machine couldn’t communicate with the car. And I called the dealership they told me they can’t touch the keyfob because is aftermarket. Any solution?

They cleaned up the 12volt battery? Has it been actually tested?
Many on here have had numerous starting issues resolved by replacing the 12 volt battery with a new one.
Being a 2012 I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the original. At the very least, have it load tested properly and replace if needed before chasing down other issues.

They dealership tested the 12v battery and said it ok. That They can’t see anything wrong but if it occurs again I should get another keyfob which i did after it started again but i don’t really know why the locksmith technician programming machine was unable to communicate with the car and dealership can’t program it because it’s aftermarket.
Edit: Never mind; post #1 stated that a battery was changed four times which I assume was the key fob battery. Therefore, it could be a defective key fob transmitter module.
You may need one of these.

I had a problem with a set of cheap Amazon key fob batteries lasting less than 2 weeks and causing various problems such as the door touch not always working and warnings of low fob batteries from the vehicle. . After obtaining Duracell batteries no more problems.
