Default Sound from front left driver side

Anyone happen to know what this sound could come from? Went to a few shops that haven’t really diagnosed the issue. It makes this noise when I drive over gravel or cobblestone. Basically over small bumps like that.

Maybe a broken strut mount or strut mount bearing? I trust these shops tested the suspension for all the usual wear components such as ball joints, bushings, tie rod ends, motor mounts, sway bar links, loose brake components etc?
What year and how many miles are on the RX?

Maybe try to find an independent Toyota specialist shop?
Use this link to hunt for shops near you. They are places recommended by listeners of the old CarTalk Radio Show that was hosted by 2 brothers who own a car repair shop in Boston. Cross check any potential shops on Google or Yelp for more recent info as some ratings are old.

It’s a 2013 with about 135,000 miles. I took it to a independent Lexus shop for an alignment and they did check for the usual suspension issues but found no issues. I will probably take it back and tell them to inspect further.

Have them drive it around with you in the car.

Did you ever find the cause, and a solution, to your issue?

Thanks
Brian

Yes, the mechanic found out that it is the steering column that’s causing the rattle. I now have steering wheel vibrations at 80+ mph and rattling is now more persistent. Steering also feels loose. I will be getting it replaced soon.

Thank you for the update. I'll add that to my troubleshooting steps.
