My 2012 Car /Cabin is Suddenly Noisy! 60K miles
My 2012 with only 60K miles is usually so quiet. BUT, I notice lately that taking my car on the highway, any speed above 60 mph and the cabin gets very loud. Too loud, you can't even talk in the car without raised voice.. Yesterday, it seemed that it was loud even at 40 mph, so weird, it was so quiet to drive. Any thoughts regarding reasons for this?

Eliminate simple things like all windows are closed and doors are properly shut [including rear hatch].
Drive at low speed to a shop if nearby and if far have the vehicle towed or call in a mobile mechanic. Loud unexplained noise which is increasing in time can be a dangerous failure in happening. 2.5ton of mass in uncontrolled motion should not be on the street with occupants.

Or it could be a failing front wheel bearing. They can make that howling noise that gets louder as you go faster. Almost any car repair shop can diagnose it and replace it if needed. It is the same as millions of other Toyotas.
Get it checked out soon as a wheel bearing failure could result in a wheel falling off, and an accident.

Thanks to all who replied. My service station dx was replacement bearing for back wheel, driver's side. That was causing the intense cabin noise. Then they told me I needed new rear brakes. Total charge, w tax, about $950.for entire repairs.....
