Default Two different temps of AC?

Driving in my 2010 with AC on. Noticed the far vent to drivers left and the vent above the radio volume **** is blowing warm-ish air, and the passenger car right and the one above the radio tune **** is icy cold.

Uh oh. Seems like a problem, yes?

Love to hear if you’ve had this happen to you, and maybe possible solutions?

I would first check the driver temp setting and then the front passenger temp setting. Vary them and see if the air temp changes from the vents.

Could also be a problem with the HVAC vent blend doors or the dual climate control valve.

OK. Happen to know what the dual climate control valve looks like and where it is? Maybe I can check the connection on it or swap it out and see.

Thanks for posting that video. I never would have thought that low refrigerant would cause a problem like that. Typically when the system refrigerant in most vehicles gets low, the A/C just quits working, period.

Let us know if a refrigerant recharge indeed fixes your problem.

Fixed. Followed the youtube video instructions and used the same AC Pro 20 ounce can. Super simple to do. Instant change. Now all vents are blowing cold. About $43 @ Walmart. I'm not sure what the AC capacity is, but t didn't take much. Mine showed "low coolant" when the can was hooked up, and the instructions say to stop adding coolant once the needle gets INTO the green area of the gauge. DO NOT keep filling, thinking that you need to move the needle to the middle of the green range, or the maximum of the green range. If the needle is anywhere in the green range, STOP. You're good. Any more and you are in danger of overfilling, and THAT can only be fixed at a shop, not with a $43 can.
