Default 90,000-Mile Service Today

Performed the 90,000-mile service on my wife's 2015 RX350 FWD this morning. No surprises -- all four shocks look good (no leaks), brake pads and rotors look good, the Continental CrossContact LX25 tires I installed last August are holding up quite well (I cross-rotate them every 5,000 miles), front control arm bushings still look good, and no sign of the infamous timing cover leak. She is not complaining of any issues currently. Knock on wood and keep on rolling.

I'm right behind you, now at 89,000 problem-free miles on our 2015. Looks like this one is almost unavoidably a long-term keeper - there's just no reason to trade it in at this point. At my current used rate post-retirement I may never want to buy another car. Weird.

Yeah, I hope this thing will hold up for at least 150,000 miles with just routine maintenance. I know the overall build quality is not as good as her 2004 RX330 AWD was. I sold it in July 2012 at 130,000 miles still in great shape. Time will tell for this 2015 model.

Good to know.

I have been on the quest for EXACT list of nuts and bolts that need to be checked/verified during major service.

I agree--we crossed 190k last month on our 2010. I am waiting on a Rivian R1s or Volvo EX90, and the delays haven't been an issue due to the RX350 reliability!

Default Keeper

I bought a 2014 fwd RX350 as a cop with only 8,000 miles on it. Now it has 90,000 and it is a keeper. I did Powerstop rotors with OEM pads at 55,000 and had to replace the rear shocks at 85,000 with KYBs. I think the rear stabalizer link is worn out on the right and will replace them myself. This car is going to stay until it drops. I am retired and really don’t want to spend the money on a new vehicle and besides there is nothing out there that appeals like this one. Has anyone put LED bulbs in the fog lights? BYW the milage is 24-26 consistently on 87 octane and the new Michelin Cross Climate tires are the best I have driven.

I tried LED bulbs in the fog lights of my HS250h. It takes the H11 bulbs but I don't recall if that is the same as the RX. They are in the same hard to access location and they are possibly the same lights. It was WAY TOO BRIGHT. They threw light all over the place. Blinded other drivers, half blinded me. Did not really help me see better.
Don't do it. You could try some regular bulbs that claim to be brighter but they usually do not last as long.

Small hands definitely help when replacing the fog light bulbs. I have monster-sized hands and had to replace the passenger fog light bulb back in November. I fiddled with the assembly for at least 15 minutes before I finally managed to get it out and replace the bulb. I expect to have to replace the driver fog light bulb in the not-too-distant future.

I opted to go with Hella H16 standard halogen bulbs. I ordered a pair on Amazon. They were a perfect fit for my wife's 2015 RX350 FWD.

Fog lights are not supposed to be very bright. If you just install a bright LED bulb in your fog light housing, you'll be blinding the oncoming traffic.
If you want better performance, invest in Morimoto LED fog lights (not just bulbs, it's a whole fog light assembly) I got a set a few years ago and I'm very happy with them. They are DOT approved so they are street legal, and they will give you the most light legally possible (for the fog lights it's still not that much light, of course)
