Default Spark plug replacement ...

at my dealership. If this has been posted before please direct me. I have done a search and not found what I am looking for. I have been quoted $1150 cdn to replace spark plugs. The reason it is high apparently is because the intake manifold has to be removed. I have a 2011 Lexus RX350 with 118,000 kms or approximately 70K miles. What are your thoughts? Is this quote out of line? Thanks very much!

I don't know if the $1150 is reasonable but why would you be replacing the spark plugs at 70K miles. Those things are good for 150K. I replaced my SC430 plugs at 120K and they looked like new.

Agreed. Denso and NGK iridium spark plugs will do 150,000 miles with no problem. Save your money and keep on rolling.

Spark Plug Change - ClubLexus - Lexus Forum Discussion

Dealer priced about right due to the removal of the windshield motor, intake in order to get to the rear.
I DIY it a few months ago. there are many video out there on YouTube.

Agreed. I did this a few months back as well. If you're paying dealer labor rates, then that price is about right.
