2010 rx450h center console cup holder lid does not open all the way. Maybe something fell behind it and got stuck. Does anyone know of a guide to take it apart without breaking it? Thanks.

There is probably something stuck down in the slot where the lid goes.
You can remove the center part of the cupholder and it may make it easier to move the top around.
Grab the center piece that separates the 2 sections and lift it out.
Then get a flashlight and try to look into the slot area where the top folds into when lifted. I bet something is stuck in there.

Yes, I have tried that. There's no way to look behind it without taking it apart. I'm looking for a guide to take it apart.

So you can remove the whole thing and then remove the Cup holder assumbly from the centre console.

• Unscrew shift ****
• Use trim tool to pry up centre console. It's one big piece from heated seat controls to shifter assembly (the part that shows what gear you pick)
• You can either detach all the little connectors or just lean it to one side once you get it over the shifter
• There are four or five #2 Phillip screws that hold the cup holders in place. Remove those and you can take the whole thing out.
• From there you can disassemble further as the cup holders are in their own box so to speak
