I have just picked up a 2010 RX350, it doesn't have the nav package, therefore no backup camera.
I Purchased one from Amazon. I believe that when these SUVs are assembled all the wiring harnesses would be the same.Can anyone identify where in the tailgate the camera harness would be?
If not I'll figure out another way to route the wiring.

We also do not have nav on a 2010 rx ...we have the camera view in the rearview mirror. You don't have any backup cam?

That's correct no backup camera at all.
Not even it the rear view mirror.

Canada models must have had a different basic option package that did not include the backup camera. So you may not have any such wiring harness for the camera.
There are some aftermarket wireless ones that work on your phone. Then mount your phone on the dash.

I have found this assumption to be incorrect more times than being correct. With volume production the actual savings are more than producing different parts.
Camera location on my 2011 450H is near the rear hatch release lever [tad towards the passenger side]. You can try your luck by removing the rear-hatch panel.

Thank you, I will give that a try, I do see 2 plugs that have covers over them with nothing connected.

I have a 2011 with rear camera in corner of mirror so small I don't trust it! It's USELESS SO SMALL!!!
