Default Recently hit a deer in my wife's RX350

Coming home from our daughters house out in a rural area. We almost took my RCF to our daughters house. So glad we didn't. I saw the deer coming from across the road on the left and was able to slow down quite a bit. Road speed limit is 55 and I managed to slow down to 20-ish before hitting the doe. No body damage!!! broke the chrome colored bezel on the driver side fog light and popped the parking sensor out of the drivers side front ground effects. That was the only damage.

I tried looking up parts for the fog light bezel and a new parking sensor. From what I saw, it looks like the chrome bezel is part of the fog light. can anyone confirm? 2015 RX350..Thanks in advance

Glad it was minor accident. You may like to crawl under and look behind the plastic bumper skin. Typically there is a foam insert that gets cracked even if the skin shows no sign of damage.

For parts it is best to visit your local lexus parts department. Online Lexus parts retailers also allow you to drill down from you model to body-parts -> front bumper diagram. Personally I would try to locate the item from salvage yard.

Your compassion (by not mentioning the doe's condition) is noteworthy.

It appears that the doe was fine (maybe a headache). My other daughter was behind us by 10 minutes or so and I had called to give her the heads up to watch out for deer as we hit one. I told her exactly where it happened. She said she did not see a deer on the road or side of the road. I hope that the doe was fine

My brother in MN said the state troopers suggest sticking around because sometimes they are stunned and lie down in the road and then get hit again. If they go off into the woods on their own power usually a good sign but if seriously injured best to notify troopers who will euthanize them humanly.
