Default Advice on 2014 RX350 with 92K miles

Hi everyone,

I have a 2013 RX with around 110k miles and been a member of this forum since 2020. I am now planning on buying another 2014 model and would like your advise. The main fear of mine being
that its already got 92k miles on it. The owner is known to me and has taken good care of his car. Other than this one plus point, I am a bit scared about the miles. Any advise will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

92,000 miles is nothing to worry about on these vehicles as long as they have been properly cared for (which essentially means oil & filter changes at least every 10,000 miles, air filter changes every 30,000 miles, ATF drain-and-fills every 50,000 to 60,000 miles, keeping the cooling system topped up as necessary, rotating the tires every 5,000 to 6,000 miles, and watching for the pesky timing cover oil leak so you can be aware of it if it indeed occurs). My wife's 2015 RX350 FWD is approaching 96,000 miles and I have taken good care of it since we acquired it in late October 2018 at 32,500 miles. I expect her to get at least 150,000 miles out of her vehicle if we wind up keeping it that long.

Thanks Racer. . Its just that I drive around 20k miles a year and before we know it, it will be well over 200,000. in about 5 yrs time. So that is my hesitation.

Hi Ranga,

I have a 2015 Lexus rx 350 f sport , got it 2022 with 57000 miles on it, there was a good service history and the car was impeccable.

I have changed ALL the fluids, for good measure and the car is driving well. I have driven over 40,000 miles since purchase and all is good.

keep up with maintenance religiously! This car will outlast any thing you have.

I have seen these beauties well over 500k miles and still running well.

Join the Lexus Drivers Site (free) then enter the VIN of the vehicle you plan to maybe purchase and with a little hunting you can find the dealer service history. Be warned that the site is sometimes cranky about finding service histories.
https://www.lexus.com/My-Lexus

To see the service history at Lexus Drivers do the following:
On the page that lists the car whose VIN you entered there will be a line that states
Vehicle Health Report
Learn More - click this box
Then on the next page it will state
My Service
On the right side it will state Service History
View History - click this box to see the service history
The it will slowly take you to a page you need to scroll down to see the service history
Each entry will be a line, click on the + at the side to see more about each entry

Thanks everyone. Looks like I might have to forget about it, as the guy' daughter wants the car . In case she does not take it, then I guess I will have a chance at it.

we are approaching 200k on our 2010. it drives like the day we bought it 10 years ago. we are thinking of replacing it only due to wanting newer tech (autopilot!).
