Hello,
I have a 2015 rx350 and the previous owners had installed an aftermarket remote start system and connected it to the wrong wires. Which shorted out something and caused many things to not work properly. The A/C, Cooling fan, Rpm gauge, engine temp gauge, backup camera, navigation, lift gate, and power steering don’t work. I also can’t communicate with the the ECM TCM and Certification ECU. So after removing the dash and basically everything in the front of the interior we check the resistance and realized the resistance on the CAN lines was 63 oms when it was supposed to be 120 oms so we removed the modules one by one but kept the body control and ECM connected. We realized when we moved the Certification ECU the resistance would go to 120 oms so logically we thought that was the problem but after getting a new Certification ECU and connecting it we realized we still got 63 oms. So I kept the certification ECU connected and removed the ECM and the resistance for some reason went back to 120 oms so then I disconnected both the ECM and the and Certification ECU and the resistance read 6,680 oms with only the body control module connected. So I was wondering if you guys think it would be the body control module that is shorted out?
By the way I was measuring the resistance from the Can lines that go to the OBD 2 port.
