Both front seats went downhill very rapidly over the last 6 months, and now I literally have giant holes where I sit, and foam coming out.

I plan to keep this car for 1-2 more years, so I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on it. LeatherSeats.com wants $900 for a vinyl kit, but that looks like it's for front and rear, and I need front only.

I have a local guy who will hand-fabricate and install vinyl for $1,000, but I don't know how good it will look, since it's a random referral from a detailer guy, and he's just a guy working out of his garage. Is that a fair price?

Have you checked local salvage yards for full seat replacement?

It been a while but eBay has had replacement skins [typically full set] but that requires removing the existing skin and installing the replacement [hog hooks? or something similar].

Ah, good tip! I had not thought to search eBay. There's a wide range of offerings, from this $318 set to this $59 set and this $59 set.

Has anyone here done a replacement installation? Is it as daunting as that video makes it seem?
