Default 2013 rx350 CODE P0500 help please

The odometer works and rpms work the check engine light comes on and off here n there and I was wondering if there’s a diy fix I could do myself . Dealership claimed it was the sensor inside the transmission itself and needed to drop the transmission. It probably came on due to me skidding up a hill on a rainy day plus a lot of puddles , if there’s anymore questions feel free to ask

A dealership quoted ( not Lexus dealership )

What autozone tested on their tested

I think from reading your attachment that the vehicle has 115860 miles. Have you ever had the transmission fluid changed? Or do you know? How long have you had it? Does it shift okay?
I ask because if that is failed, the rest of the transmission may soon be junk as you are at the trans failure mileage point and you will have wasted $3000.
You may be able to get a good used trans installed for that from an indpendent shop if it is needed.
You need to get a second opinion from an independent transmission repair shop.

Do this to look up the dealer service history online and avoid a return trip to the dealer:
You can go to the Lexus drivers site linked below, join for free and enter the VIN of your recently purchased used Lexus and then it lets you see the dealer service history and the car build sheet that shows its options. The site is a bit cranky and does not always work, so you may have to try a couple of times. https://www.lexus.com/My-Lexus/account/create-account

To see the service history at Lexus Drivers do the following:
On the page that lists the car whose VIN you entered there will be a line that states
Vehicle Health Report
Learn More - click this box
Then on the next page it will state
My Service
On the right side it will state Service History
View History - click this box to see the service history
The it will slowly take you to a page you need to scroll down to see the service history
Each entry will be a line, click on the + at the side to see more about each entry

As a wish and a prayer cheap fix I would have an independent transmission or Toyota specialist shop change the transmission fluid. That is a less than $300 investment.
Then after driving it with new fluid for a few days, have them erase the stored codes, or disconnect the battery for a while and hope that does it. Then keep driving and hope the warning lights stay off.

there hasn’t been a service on the car since 10k miles … previous owner most likely did side mechanics because they had aftermarket brake pads and window wipers

Have you seen the Carfax report? Some shops report service to them.
