Default Brake pedals low after brake fluid change

I had the brake fluid changed and now my pedals seem lower. Any thought?

Is the brake fluid reservoir full? Are the brakes working properly?

Air in the lines? Can you pull up on the brake pedal at all?

Sounds like air in the brake system. A common mistake is to allow the brake fluid reservoir to run low during a fluid change; which allow air into the ABS module. I believe that you(or mechanic) may need to use a scan tool to bleed the ABS module and then bleed the brake lines again.

If after a few times of braking [not pumping] the pedal does not bottom out where you are used to, there can be a problem. There is definitely a problem if the brakes feel spongy [air in the system]. Although Lexus publishes the range of acceptable clearance from floor to bottom of the brake pedal when pushed down [with assist], a quick test is that your left toe should pass freely under the pedal.

I can pass my big toe under the pedal, but breaks do feel spongy and lower.

Spongy and holding [not dropping] means air in the system. You might need brake servicing tool [this modulates the valves in ABS system to open up chambers to purge air completely]. I think you may not be able to DIY it. I would look for Toyota/Lexus repair shop.

Could be the brake master cylinder beginning to fail. That can also cause a spongy brake pedal.
