Air bag and steering controls are different and a harness needs to be made for controls. Main problem is the air bag which cannot just be swapped with the detonator. The wheel itself will physically fit

Thanks, I was hoping it would fit. My 2013 leather is starting to show signs of wear and was thinking about replacing it with Gen 4 since it has a bit more girth.

Yeah the 4th gen wheel is really nice, I put it on my 08 and if I had to do it again I prob would have went with something else as the effort was insane to get it to work.13-15 ES/GS have the same wheel though if you want a direct replacement.

Yes and no. Air bag and cruise control, yes. 13-15 has 12-pin connector for functions vs. 10-pin connector for 10-12. Not plug and play, but making it work would be a lot easier than the 4th gen wheel.

Gotcha! So would it just require swapping the connector from the old steering wheel over to the new then?

You’d have to find the pinouts of both clocksprings on forums or Toyota TIS. You could repin from the new wheel’s 12-pin to the 10-pin connector or do what I did and use an adapter plug so nothing had to be re-pinned or chopped off etc.
I have a post about it on the 2nd gen RX forum
