I got a 2010 rx350 with 70k miles on it. The first problem is the steering wheel is a bit tight and it can get annoying. My previous car was 2006 rx400h which was super smooth.
next problem is at low speeds, it doesn’t get recenter quickly, sometimes it even gets stuck if I do a long turn and don’t help it with my hands.
anyone has had similar issues? What solved it?

Check your tire pressure. This vehicle has electric power steering which will feel different than the hydraulic power steering that was on your old RX.
The correct tire pressure is on the plate mounted on the driver door frame, you can see it when you open the door and look down.
If the tire pressure is okay, then have a reliable independent repair shop inspect the front suspension and steering. Did you get a pre-purchase inspection? What did the CarFax state?
Sometimes you just have to get used to a new vehicle.

Try giving the steering shaft a shot of lube/penetrating oil. I would also check strut mount bearings, tie rods and make sure they are okay. If not that maybe something in the rack is worn out worse case scenario. The shaft went on my 02 Highlander and steering became notchy and heavy in certain spots, and you had to manually recenter the wheel.
The EPS system on a 3rd gen is very simple compared to the EPS on a 06-08 400h which has a rack w/ a motor mounted directly to it. The motor on a 3rd gen is in the column itself and is probably less likely to fail as it is out of the elements and the rack is a simple manual rack that receives power.
