Anyone know what comes loose up here? Loud rattle coming from between the headliner and the roof where the hatch motor resides. Prying the headliner down at the rear hatch, I can see some wire harness and plastic plugs in there and the mostly-metal motor, but I cannot find anything loose. Weirdly, there's an injection-molder plastic/foam piece that velcro-attaches to the roof skin and "isolates" the motor.. The rattle I'm hearing is metallic and very loud and sounds like a piece of metal bouncing around in a metal can, amplified. Can hit the headliner right under the motor and replicate it no problem. Motor / hatch operate fine. I'm sure a $6000 fix at the stealership, so anyone have experience or a guess? TIA!

Try a car upholstery shop as they work on sunroofs when replacing headliners and may be familiar with this issue, or a car sunroof specialty shop, if any still exist.
