Inconsistent tick at idle

Inconsistent tick at idle
2015 RX350, 93k. I have a tick that will come and go at idle, and seems to completely be gone at anything over 1200 rpm. Original alternator, water pump, tensioner, serp belt. Sound is heard equally between left and right side. I know 2GRs tend to be louder. Sometimes it does it consistently. Most of the time it does it sporadically (tickticktickticktick…..silence for 10 seconds…. Tickticktickticktickticktick……silence for 8 seconds etc) does not matter if AC is on or off. I worry of a stuck lifter shaving down a cam lobe. I wanted to know if anyone else encountered this, if I should worry, what may have fixed it, etc. thank you!

One possible source is mode servo which diverts air to various vents. That servo is overworked in the much venerated Lexus AC system. Being overworked the servo gets worn and the classic symptom is clickty-click sound.
To confirm, take the AC out of Auto mode and set the mode to only direct air at the face level [summer preferred location]. The servo will respond and after few seconds it will stop moving. If you don't get the face level vents blowing air, the poor servo has quit. If it is able to move, it will quit moving and stop creating the clickty-click sound.

PS: AC on/off does not matter as we are talking about air flow which is working all the time.

I would have a mechanic take a look at the issue.

Get at least 2 opinions from reputable shops other than the dealer before investing in any expensive repairs to stop a noise. Do you have any other issues besides the noise?
I would first try a couple of oil changes a few thousand miles apart. If you have been following the Lexus 10,000 mile oil change schedule, it may help clean out your engine some and maybe help the lifter.
You have to decide how much you want to invest in a 9 year old vehicle with almost 100,000 miles.
