Not bad, it looks like a jack up ES350.

The new redign is an evolution of the current design and looks good overall on the exterior, interior the navi looks like it is not touchscreen anymore -- **** type controller close to the driver and the shared hand rest for the driver/passenger is low

People need to get used to the layout of the dash, the cd changer/air vents in the middle are looking odd, it is definitely different
Tail lights look kind of cheap
Signal mirrors at last

My first beef with the new design is that it still mimicks the 2nd gen Rx with that BMW X5 rear. Why Lexus decided to get rid of the beautiful round rear of the 1st gen RX...I'll never know. The front I'll have to really see in person to give a better judgment on.

We were planning on upgrading our 05 to the "new and improved" RX, however, sure hoping that it's better in real life than what the pictures portray otherwise I see absolutely no reason for me to get rid of our current RX. Frankly, at this point, I'm more than a bit disappointed. I certainly don’t consider this revolutionary, and quite frankly, to me, it’s not all that evolutionarily either.

That looks so boring. I thought it might be more aggressive looking.

Isn't it supposed to be taller? It looks lower to the ground...more like a wagon....

Isn't the weight increase due to the addition of AWD as standard equipment compared to the previously standard equipment FWD? The price increase could also reflect the addition of AWD as standard equipment as well.

Hmmm... Looks like a gussied up Venza to these eyes. And while I don't view that as necessarily a bad thing, I had hoped for a bit more aggression and tension in the exterior design from Lexus this time around. Clearly, they didn't want to ruin a good thing, but it seems to me that they had an opportunity to do what Acura did with the MDX -- a vehicle which, in spite of its' love it/hate it grille, is leaps and bounds above its predecessor, both stylistically and dynamically -- and move it a bit further away from suburban soccer mom status. Of course, until I drive one, I can't say whether or not Lexus has buttoned the suspension down, but the optional sport suspension is a promising sign. That said, I do really dig the interior, and judging from the list posted at the beginning of this thread, the electronic gadgetry is right up there with the best of them.

Regards,
Adam

I am keeping a open mind until I see the interior in person, but that ugly interior is enough to drive most of the die hard Lexus fan out of the showroom. Most of the poeple who but Lexus are pretty conservative, I dont think they want to drive around in the USS enterprise.
