It's going to be a rearview-mirror camera with no nav.
I think the non-nav cars will get a screen, but I forgot to ask, and even we haven't seen pictures of the inside yet. Lexus is playing it as tight as they can.
Oh, and I hear the new nav system is realy easy to use. Essentially, if you can use a mouse, you can use this system. No I-Drive type crap.
Also standard in the Southwest region will be the Premium Plus package with 19" wheels.
What was a $41K car will now be a $44K car.

I hope it does.
Mainly, I am looking forward to the nav upgrades, the standard iPod hook-up, and the cooled seats, Smart Key, etc.

A $3000 price increase for the 2010 model is outrageous. There are other vehicles less than the RX that has the same if not more features. Lexus' quality isn't that much better. At least not anymore. I think Lexus is overpricing their vehicles especially in today's economic situation.

$3000 can easily be justified. most of it is probably image of the brand. the other half is inflation and the weak dollar.
1) image. some car magazines still rate lexus vehicles as "near luxury". why? well an LS430 that had a base price of around 50K clearly isnt in the same league as an S class which starts at 80K. note the ML350 starts in the mid 40s as well. i mean 37K for an RX350 is really a bargain (2004-2009).
2) inflation. well this is an obvious one.

economic conditions won't likely change the sticker price of a new car, but very well may change the level of discounting done. Lexus will find out fairly quickly after launch what the car is worth.

I agree. Once it's out on the market Lexus can have a better idea as to whether or not the new RX is "worth" the sticker price or not. Isn't Japan, the world's second leading economy, in the runs too? Well, we'll just have to wait and see if the price hike and justified or not when we see its debut at the LA Auto show and once it's out on the lot for sale!

Each region figures out what the bulk of their sales are, and orders their cars accordingly.
California will have different packages of cars than Texas. For instance, in Texas, we almost never see X-Package IS's, but they are everywhere in California.
It just depends on what sells in a particular region.
Do you not like it? The wording of your question makes it seem as if you are disappointed.

Those first pics look like the New Toyota Venza
http://www.toyota.com/venza/
and to be honest; Toyota needs to make Toyota less nice or move Lexus upscale design wise. As from looking at the pictures and feature of the new toyotas I can't justify buying a Lexus anymore. To me an extra $10000 for a car that look better aesthetic wise will not cut.
