Well if we are going to see an RX450h, then I think we can guarentee direct injection like that in the GSh, but perhaps not as much HP.

im guessing if they kept the RX350 at around 280, then the RX450h should come around 320. that 40hp increase might justify the price increase

i was youtubing the spy videos again and noticed that the headlight housing is the same as these latest photos. it seems that since the grill looks wider, they put the projector low beams in the new position. notice they are also set lower. i remember hearing somewhere that lexus did not like to put HIDs in their SUVs because of blinding other drivers. maybe that's why they did it this way to fix that prob. at any rate, i don't like the look of a giant reflector but i will get used to it. it also looks like they've been testing different looks for the tails. the final product looks ok except for the red thing on the side but i'll have to see more.

about the idrive contoller, looks a bit odd. it's shaped sort of like a large mouse with 2 buttons on the inner side, 2 buttons up top, and what looks to be 1 large button on the outer side. also that **** thingy looks like it swivels on a ball. interesting design. can't wait to hear more and how this will be put into the other lexus models. i hope it works better than the competitors. i've used idrive in the old 7 series and didn't like it (mainly because it was so slow). i've also used comand in the s550 and it was ok but the nav function was not to my liking. our gs300, although not perfect (1 complaint is the super low-res screen), was my fave.

i also want to hear more about the 450h tech.

i've read posts in here that lexus copied the look of this car or that car. it's the other way around. all those others have copied this car. if i'm not mistaken, the rx is the creator of the segment.

... and i'm not normally high on crossovers.

the one thing i dislike with the mouse like controller is that its so cumbersome. it looks like it takes up the entire center arm rest area. i mean, that space could have been used with something else. the Merc controllers take up so little space. i hope they did a lot of studies with ergonomics and such to prove that this style is beneficial in some way.

and yes, the RX was the pioneer in crossovers

in regards to the headlights, i guess ill have to spring for the hybrid in order to get the LEDs or at least bi-xenons

Wow, that's pretty detailed analysis, I can barely make out what the controller looks like from these (admittedly real-life) photos. Thanks for sharing that. Now I'm more and more curious about the feature. It does make sense to me, given how people the world over are all on laptops, with scrollpads, joysticks, and different kinds of mouse interfaces, that Lexus could come up with something similar with minimal learning curve. The use of a rotary **** in the competition is one way, the touchscreen IMO is still the best, but is there a third option?

why would it have less power than GS450h? Japanese sites have it roumored to be slightly under 400hp, so it would be around 380hp by US standards.

Also, controller is not using arm rest area - armrest is now huge, like in GS. In fact, it seems complete interior has been upgraded to GS quality...

I actually like the interior...
The front end...uhh looks like they just stuck a GS/ES/IS/LS grille on there...looks out of place.
