new Lexus vehicles will have two thin stripes at the top of the door handle that will lock the doors, not more button... i will find pics somewhere for you...

Yes, they have gone for more daring interior designs lately...the ES 350 interior was a bit much at first but it is more stylish than previous ones (if not as wooded).

I have to sit inside the new RX interior to see how it 'feels'-- looks like they have created a more driver-focused environment without having to angle it away from the passengers.

Tire to fender gap still appears to be disproportionately large. The darker color from the floor pictures looks a bit better in the ¾ view, but still very underwhelming. I was expecting something more revolutionary, this isn’t even very evolutionary. Will try to think positive till I can view one for real. Interior however, doesn’t look to bad at all.

for some reason...the IS grill looks really out of place. they should have rethought that part of the car

Only thing remotely interesting to me is the central controller. I do want to see how that works since it will probably find its way into future Lexus models. The rest, outside of LED headlights should have been available years ago (or its an expensive gimmick - side monitor). Great that so many people like it , but its not even close to being interesting to me just like the half assed ISc.\

And I'm already tired of seeing Lexus models with little to no wood trim.

It looks like a Ford Edge to me.

O-M-G, always something new...

I don't care for ivory/beige interiors, but that design & color scheme with the black dash is hot!

That makes it looks like a Ford Focus.

I like the original better.

Me too.

The appeal of the new and different design is that it's new and different.

I don't want the interior to look like American or German interiors: copied from one car to the next...

It is Lexus' answer to the 'double wave' and other forward-NAVI, controller designs. I like the curvature, although the metallic center piece takes getting used to.

It is a very nicely simplified button layout.
