I live near Geneva and will visit the car show either this Friday or next. I have ordered an RX450h without seeing one in the flesh. (I did this a few weeks ago, two days before the order books opened up in Europe.) There will be one on the Lexus stand. I will have a camera. Is there anything anyone wants to know or see?
The European package and option lists are very different from the USA ones. While the dealer showed me a fax of the price list when I ordered, I don't actually have either the price list or the brochure/catalog. If I get one, I will scan and post.
For info, the RX will replace my 5-year-old MB E320 4Matic wagon. And I like what someone else has called the diaper-content color, so I ordered that.

The sales guy estimated July 20th. Shipments to Europe star in June. He ordered 20 on the day the ordering opened.

Nothing major to note from the show. The European price list has only been official since Tuesday. They did not have the lists of the package contents for each trim/option level. In round terms, the base model costs US$75k here, with the two other mainstream packages at about $77k and $88k. The "High tech" model is also about $88k. There is no import duty here and VAT is 7.6%. Prices reflect what the Swiss market can absorb and Swiss labour and real estate costs. Typically that makes us about 10% more than Germany but 15% lower than the UK, for example.
They now also supply the GS hybrid without a spare wheel (with pump/foam thingy) which still does not give a large enough boot/trunk for me to really want it. The volume is really a problem.
The IS250C was on the stand and looks good. The boot/trunk has even less room than a Mercedes SLK or BMW 3 series, I I think I will keep my CLK 500.

I was hoping ours would get here by no later than late June so we can drive it from the Midwest on our scheduled trip to Seattle about the first of July. It's a long wait.

Thx for the pics, Fitzgerald! On the pic of the center dash, the navi screen has a weird display, at least it doesn't match the menu setup/colors seen elsewhere. Diagnostics perhaps? Or DVD video?
