Default So is there or isnt there a full sized spare?

I specifically remember seeing on the lexus website that there was a temporary spare tire for the RX which goes in line for the newer lexus models, ie. IS and ES. And i remember the forum talking about it too.

but on my latest visit to the lexus website, i see this!

"18 x 7.5-in five-spoke alloy wheels with 235/60VR18 all-season tires [7]. Full-size spare with alloy wheel "

have any owners checked it out to see whether or not this is true?

I remembered the spare I saw wasn't the full-size... but I couldn't give you the detailed info.

I think full size spare is standard in Australia, but not in the US. Raises the floor of the trunk a little. (I guess roadside assistance sucks in the outback?)

I just looked. It's a temporary spare with no alloy wheel.

The ES's full size spare costs extra?!! Wow, you're right, I guess I got it with my UL package and I didn't even noticed others don't have it.

Can you get a full size spare on the RX with the Luxury package?

I wonder why Lexus is going with temporary donuts recently, weight/room/cost saving?

I read this article about the RX in Australia:
http://watoday.drive.com.au/Editoria...rticleID=60988

And it said:
For the first time a space-saver spare tyre is standard, but a full-sized spare can be optioned for $900 (on Prestige) or $1000 (Sports or Sports Luxury).
