$550 - negotiated down from the dealer's price of $695

i wasnt a fan of side moldings, but it does serve a good purpose, especially if the car is close to things (not just cars). for the rx, it does add a nice dimension to the car. it does take away from the curves a little, but its a good look. whether its the rolling shopping cart outside of the grocery store parking lot, or an accidental opening of a neighboring door wider than expected, the side moldings does protect well. i also like the rx's with the running boards. i havent seen too many people with them, but those that i know with their rx's say it matches well with the side moldings because they're parallel. IMO its a good look with both the side moldings and the running boards.

The dealership also offers modling around the wheel wells and trimline of the doors.
I think the side moulding look great. I like how narrow they look. I know when I got my car last April the dealer did not carry them. I'll check with the dealer again now. I had them on the 05 RX and know they saved my car from being dinged a number of times.

Thanks for posting the photo!

As ggebhardt noted, it depends on the height and configuration of the doors on the other vehicle. However, I didn't know it was an option - thanks for the pic, ChitChat.
Joe G, any pics of the full package? I am totally unfamiliar with it.

Hey Ziggy1 - if you hit search - Body Side Moldings on R 350- I posted 3 pictures of our RX with the moldings.
Not the best pictures, but it will give you some idea if interested.

I feel the added protection is working out well so far.

Could you perhaps post a few pictures of the wheel well moldings and the door edge moldings and what dealership ut these on for you/carried these?

Thank you in advance

Anita - forgive me, but I'm confused - not that it takes much, but what do you mean NY special?
No moldings offered in NJ?
Joe
