Warning Buzzer comes on while washing!

If you leave your keys in the car it makes that buzzing noise to warn you since it thinks you are trying to lock it. I usually leave my keys in my pocket and when I wash it it will repeatedly lock and unlock the whole time. And since I have the folding mirrors on automatic the mirrors will sit there and flap the whole time

Without the owners manual in my hand, I think it works off breaking a laser beam while the key fob is on your person (or very near). If that's so, then the large stream of water is breaking the beam and fooling it. Kind of makes sense even.
My 450h won't be here for another 10 days approx so I don't have a manual but I'm interested as I'll have the same system.

It is not a laser beam. That makes no sense at all. It is simply a sensor sensitive to touch. When the water hits it, it gets confused.
