How do I turn off seat-belt beep?
The seat-belt beeping is so annoying. I know there is a way to turn it off on almost every Lexus. So, how do I do it on the 2010 RX?

I love that "statistic" wording here.
These are common questions, like
"how fast can you go"
"seat belt buzz"
"car vs car"
A flame of aspiration/anger has lighted in all of forums.
I heard someone buying the spare seat belt buckle to slot; fasten the seat belt and sit on it; remove the fuse; professional removal (dealer/shop/mechanic/yourself), etc.
So far, there is no direct code/easy way for you to disable the buzz. You won't be able to find it on the public forums, which may cause the further legal actions.
I heard some forums kill the thread like this...

I will try taking it to the dealer if I can find no other way. I am sure there is a DIY code, but either nobody has figured it out yet, or noone is willing to tell it.

or perhaps no one wants to be responsible for any statistic. Sorry I can't help but good luck on your efforts.

executive matchup
go to the 3GS forum, there's a trick to disable the buzzer for the 3GS. try that and see if that works for the RX (it may or may not work).

This works for the second generation RX. Unsure if will work on 2010 RX
Seat belt chime
1. Turn the ignition switch on (without starting car)
2. Press the ODO/TRIP switch until the odometer displays "ODO"
3. Turn the ignition switch off
4. Turn the ignition switch on
5. Press ODO/TRIP switch immediately (within 6 seconds after turning the power switch ON) and hold it down for 10 seconds or more.
6. Continue holding the ODO/TRIP switch and fasten the front passenger's seat belt.
7. Check that the odometer displays either "b-on" or "b-off" (it will be "b-on")
8. Press the ODO/TRIP button to change the display to "b-off".
9. Turn the ignition switch off.
10. Turn the ignition switch on while depressing the brake pedal.
11. Check that no buzzer sounds when setting on the front passenger seat.

I'd love to find this out as well, this car is merciless with its nannies and beeping. My 1-series BMW at least gives me 30 seconds or so before it starts chiming. I'm not a dumbass and always wear my belt on public roads, but I'd like to be able to drive half a mile at 20 mph to the pool in my neighborhood without having to belt up if I so choose.
