iPod minis do not work with the RX350?
Will iPod minis not work with the RX350? Works (sometimes) with my iPhone, but when I plug in the iPod mini the car says it cannot read the device when I click on USB.

Thanks for posting this. How could lexus make a vehicle where the iPhone isn't compatible? My iphone has worked intermittently with through USB. The iPod interface on the vehicle is incredibly mediocre, but it seems like iphone support should really be there since I'd imagine a large portion of Lexus buyers have them...

The iPhone works for me. When i plug it in there's a message on the phone that the device is not supported, and will ask if you want to go into airplane mode. Click no and it should work fine. It charges and plays my music. Only thing it won't play are my movies which was a disappointment.
So far I've tested the following Apple products we have: iPhone, iPod classic, iPod video (30GB), iPod Nano (Gen 1, 2 & 3). All of these have the latest software... I havent tested my old 1st gen original iPod.. (LOL - firewire anyway) and iPod mini (same as your photo above).

The interface in our Mazda3 and BMW 335i both work fine, even without navigation screens to aid in the display/selection. Perhaps Lexus thought it's customers would be a bit older and did not put much work into the design. Why is the track name display and the info so tiny at the top of the screen? When it occasionally works with my iPhone, it will show the info in the audio menu but when I'm on the map and change tracks it simply will show "Track 1" "Track 2" etc.
