Default Delaying the Inevitable.

Its been 3 wks since i got my new car, and i think everyone can agree, we baby the car,

1. being paranoid at parking long hours in a crowded parking lots,
2. giving fingers to anyone that decides to "almost" hit your car while changing lanes.

and finally...

3. Swirl marks.

im having trouble with #3.

my car is starting to collect dust and it feels like its time for wash... but i cant get myself to a carwash because im afraid the "swirl marks".

sigh... just a rant.

find a good hand car wash in your area--costs a bit more but better. Or, take it in there and have them detail or wax for you--if a better place they wil do a good job washing then applying a good wax covering-then you take it back to them for washes.

I pay 650 a year for unlimited hand washes at a place close by--the alternative was a rack car wash (still full service) for 350 a year

one car at a time and they do it the right way.

you can't get away from swirlmarks, it's impossible not to get them. only thing you can do is to use scratch removal products (like scratch x) or get a detail shop to buff them out for you. and wax your car every 4-6 weeks.

how does scratch x actually work?

i made a thread not long ago regardig scratch removal products.

im assuming there is a downside to using this product on the longevity of your car's paint.

i don't know the technical explanation how the product works, maybe somebody can explain how this works?

as for downside, i can't see it being a problem unless you tend to scratch the same area over and over again?
