Default Turn off the annoying Nav voice???

Does anyone know how to turn off the navigation voice prompt? I don't mind it telling me to speak the commands, but cannot stand it reading off examples or the possible prompts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Dont exactly know what you want to do.
if you didn't setup any destination, there is no voice prompt.
if you setup destination and dont want to listen the voice prompt, you could try decrease the volume to very very low and it wont affect your music volume.

I am talking about when you go to the hit the button for voice navigation and it reads this long prompt about different options, etc. My Honda Pilot just gave a very quick prompt when hitting the voice button. It's great when you first get the car, but quickly just takes up time.

Is there any way to just cancel the "reading of the list" permanently?

not in any user setup from what I know. You could try call Lexus service to see if they can do it in dealer setup menue.

there is a menu config that allows you to disable the extra voice assistance

i read it in the manual, but haven't tried it yet

I did try that and that seems not for that purpose.

Funny. Just made the similar comment about Navi Voice in a different thread.
After a few attempts to use Voice, I was so put off with repeated prompts, I stopped using it. I don't want to press more than 1 button and say the command. This is how the Voice Recognition worked in my 05 Acura MDX. The speach recognition was not great, but for simple commands, such as 'what time is it?' or 'turn ac on' it worked flawlessly.

If I need to execute the same command through a sequence of 3 prompts, and 10 seconds later, I might as well just PUSH THE DAMNED BUTTON myself.

[QUOTE=Blackberry;4756216]See Dous's response in this thread:

You can turn the prompts off.. In settings > voice > switch "voice recognition guidance" to "off"

thats it.
