Mine wasn't filled up all the way either. They said they only offer 3 gallons. My salesman and the guy who detailed it before i picked it up ended up putting in another 6 gallons even thought its against the rules and they could have gotten fired for doing so. It didn't make much of a difference as the car was almost on E when i test drove it.

Mine (south of France, Montpellier, was filled up 100% both RX: the 400h black edition when I bought it (new) and the current 450h used car).

I believe filling up the gas tank is on the check list. Don't have it in front of me. All three RXs were topped off.

There may be different standards for different regions/countries. Just as the standard equipment differs from region to region the delivery requirements might also differ. Or maybe the dealers in Texas are ignoring Lexus USA's requirements. With gas at $4 + a gallon it is worth a call to Lexus NA's 800 number to confirm this practice. Some dealers, especially multi-line dealers, do whatever they can get away with. Lifting a few franchises might help bring them back in line. It certainly improved the GM and Chrysler dealerships that survived the purge!

Sorry for the delay. Still no mods other than all-weather mats, but the side bumpers and door edge protectors arrived. Will order the LED's soon and will post pictures after that. "Black Beauty" to go with my 'Silver Bullet"

after much research, test driving and debate i have decided to join the lexus family. picked up a 2012 RX350 FWD white with black interior. options are comfort pkg, premium pkg, navi, 19" wheels, park assist. msrp at 49k got it at 43600 plus TT etc. i think it was over 2k below invoice so i'm pretty darn happy with it plus the 0.9% lexus finance made it a no-brainer for me

just did the tint today too so i'll get some pics up tomorrow if i get a chance. i will be doing the HID fogs and LED lights for the interior very soon too.

We got a 2012 RX 350 AWD in Obsidian with parchment interior. 6 miles on the odometer. Nav package, and lots of other options! This thing is loaded! We literally bought it off of the showroom floor! We love our RX! Proud to own a Lexus!

Full tank of gas also.
